UpNeeq® is an FDA-approved, prescription eye drop that temporarily improves droopy eyelids caused by a weak muscle within the eyelid. UpNeeq® contains oxymetazoline that helps to activate the muscle that controls the upper eyelid. This causes the muscle to contract and raise the upper eyelid. UpNeeq® works within 2 hours and can lift the eyelid by 1-2 mm.

What Is Acquired Ptosis?

Acquired Ptosis is a medical condition that can show up in patients in various stages of life, but most commonly shows with age. This condition generally develops later in life with increased age. This typically occurs where the muscles in the eyelid stretches overtime and weakens. This then will cause the eyelid to droop. Other instances that can cause Acquired Ptosis is cataract surgery, long-term contact lens wear, or underlying medical conditions. In some cases, it cold be a sign of more serious medical conditions.
