FAQ

What are some "Don'ts" after Botox?

Skip the workout! Don't exercise the day or night of your Botox treatment, as it can decrease the longevity and effectiveness of your Botox.

No facial massages or electronic scrubbing brushes to face; avoid any pressure over the areas treated for 48 hours after treatment.

Don't wear any hats, visors, or headbands for 48 hours after treatment; this can move or push the product into unwanted areas.

Stay upright for 4 hours after your injections.

Always call with any unwanted movement after seven days so we can touch up and make adjustments if needed :)

Is botox dangerous? Does it have long-term side effects?

Is botox dangerous? No, Botox has a remarkably safe history especially when administered by licensed and skilled healthcare providers. As with any medication there are potential side effects like temporary bruising, swelling etc. Because of how safe and effective it is the uses for botox have multiplied over the years. At Deja Vu Skin & Health Center we use it for wrinkle prevention/reduction as well as migraine headaches and excessive sweating to areas such as underarms, hands/feet, scalp and groin.

Does it have long-term side effects? No long term side effects have been reported because of its short half life - it wears off. The best long term effect we see is less wrinkles and smoother skin =)
